The party Venstre will select a new leadership today

In politics on September 21, 2019 at 06:11

Denmark is facing a tough future now where the political party in Denmark called Venstre will select the team who will form the new leadership.

7 times since the millennium they have formed a government. It is a party with the best traditions. They produced the finest prime minister who never got the job: Uffe Elleman (Father of the present candidate for the leadership of the party) and the best finance minister who never got the job Peter Brixtofte, who fell from power stabbed in the back by people in his hometown.

From the government Anders Fogh I to Anders Fogh VI (He was not in charge from government IV to VI, but those governments consisted of people from his team without any outstanding achievement on their own, so we just name them after him too.) Denmark took a path which took the told on the population.

Today it is hard to tell if there ever were a time where the population in Denmark lived an everyday life with as many challenges as today. Today it is hard to tell if there anywhere on this planet exist a nation where the population face a tough daily life with as much suffering and as much hardship as the Danish population.

Do not think for a second that Denmark is a welfare state where people are covered in life if something bad happens to them. Denmark has a medical board where people every day are selected to die from illnesses, other countries can cure if the medication is too expensive for the public sector to buy.

Denmarks reputation as the happiest country in the world are defended by thousand of public servants. If you children show signs of depression, parents are reported and parents are punished with fines if the depression requires treatment at group homes, because it is claimed that depression can be contagious and because children spent most time with their parents, they are often blamed to be the source of the illness found in the children.

Inspired by Nazi-Germany who created the first anti-smoking campaign so they could produce more fit soldiers, Denmark has the most toughest anti-smoking rules if you are a public servant. In private firms you have to leave the property of the firm in order to smoke in the breaks you pay yourself, but because the roads are public and a part of the property their employer owns, public servants are forbidden to smoke at all times, even when their lunch break is not part of the working day they receive payment for. In Denmark it is not a question about making fit soldiers, it is a question about making fit taxpayers who can serve until they are 80 years of age before they can retire.

In other countries they have wars. The single citizen can decide to go out in the streets and receive the bullet or the bomb with open arms and then it will be over. In Denmark they work to secure that there is no easy way out. You should suffer. People fear that. Yesterday the news told that people now in their early twenties start to save for their pension. In the old days you started your working life trying to fulfill the potential, you based on your social heritage could reach out for. If you live outside the cities, you aim at manual labor. If you live in the towns, you can aim at higher education if your parents are wealthy because the housing situation leaves no cheap rent in the cities anymore after numerous American firms like the well-known Blackstone bought up most houses for rent and painted them so they could double the rent. Knowing that you have to work until you are 80 years of age has meant that people aim a secure jobs where they do not take chances so they risk getting sick and die before they can retire.

This is the Denmark the new leadership will have define a future or an end to. Our membership of the the European Union has meant that foreign students now own Denmark 314 millions without the intend ever to pay this money back to the hardworking Danish citizens who pay those money in taxes.

As a Danish citizen myself I find it unfair that I have to sit in my coach every evening waiting for Friday and the lottery and learn if I can judge my life a failure as life has been so far, when I do not see enough suffering in the rest of the world. They do not pay the taxes, we do. Why should they be allowed to enjoy life then? Life is unfair!

Today around 13:00, we will know how Venstre have put together the team, that should lead them. Question is then if they will work to improve the living conditions for the Danish population or skip the population in order to mingle around the leadership of the corrupt European Union instead.

Only the future will tell.

Thoughts about Felicity Huffman’s conviction

In family, justice on September 14, 2019 at 07:12

Yesterday the news of Felicity Huffman’s trial reacted Denmark and it made me think about if I have parented correctly.

I have two children. One is studying at the University and another is attending a high school.

The one in University is very ill. Thanks to the social services who sent her to treatment despite the warnings of a full team of doctors who warned the social services that removing her from her home would inflict a serious mental illness upon her, she is now suffering from Schizoaffective disorder.

She is studying the English language which has no future in Europe because due to Brexit the Europe Union will go down and become a number of countries which nothing in common not even being able to communicate properly because the populations the countries speaks strange local dialects, none care to learn. Thanks to her low grades in high school due to her illness, English was the only line of studies, she could get in to.

She wanted to study Japanese which I believe is an result of her illness. Japan was bombed into learning their place and has nothing to offer but English it became and she is doing fine living alone with her cat in a remote village when she is not studying at the university.

I could have done more. I could have hired someone to read through her high school main assignment – the SRP report – so it flaws could have been corrected. She got a 4 for it, which equals B- in the United States. It disqualified her from most universities and business schools. I question myself. Who did I not buy the help? Am I a failure as a parent?

The youngest is attending a high school. I have to say that I purchased for about 3,000 dollars of help for my youngest. They go to a private tutor who comes 2 hours per week teaching him the math, he did not get in elementary school. 10 years ago the Danish parliament decided to destroy the public school system, so parents with money sent their children to private schools. Back then I did not have that kind of money, so he had a total of 13 math teachers during a period of 9 years.

I would had bought this help unless he himself had the motivation. He got a B+ at the summer tests, so he was able to turn himself around. I have bought more than 5 liters of Vodka also, so he can socialize and avoid the isolation, my oldest have to endure as she does not do well around drunk people and is basically friendless as result of that.

So as a parent I have purchased both help and alcohol for my children. After the trial, I however question myself whether I should have settled with the alcohol and advised my youngest child to lower his ambitions and choose just letting time pass working as a SOSU-helper serving the sick and elderlies and people in Denmark choose a line of work when they cannot make it in other lines of businesses.

Am I a bad parent? Did I overstep and became a curling or helicopter parent the minute I reached out for academic aid?
