Going to lose my pension

In culture on May 31, 2018 at 14:21

I have saved a lot of money in pension funds. Now where GDPR is there, I get all such strange letters asking me if I still want to be registered. Then they write up and down about a lot of strange things. I do not understand this legal stuff, so whenever I see a letter mentioning the European Union I must assume that it is something that supports the corrupt politicians down in the European Union and let the mails be unanswered.

As I understand it the pension funds then have no other choice but to delete me and confiscate the money for themselves. I have to suffer the loss because I am not a lawyer but in my mind and daily life I get to speaking angry about the European Union and that is a small comfort.

Something rotten in Denmark

The Atea bribe case is about to be settled in court.

The background is that Region Sealand made an agreement where they created an account where they could stack money into at Atea so they could buy things without being dependent of the strict budget rules. At public offices they can risk cuts if they do not use all the money they set aside during a fiscal year. Because then the politician would say “They did not use all their money. They need less next year.” So if they had nothing to use the money for, they asked for a fake invoice so they could get important stuff next year.

A lot of money piled up at that account which everyone knew about. Some of the money were used for study trips abroad so the public servicemen could learn about new technology. Then some of the people who used to work for Atea moved to a new firm and the trouble began. Because the new management at Atea believed that the old employers had agreed to party the account away in exchange of getting orders to the new firm. The new management did not like this special account but they decided to close it down secretly because a lot of hands had gotten their hands dirty. That was until the new firm got a large order.

Suddenly almost every firm in the IT-business in Denmark involved in the tender did sent the same complaint with the same wording. It was revealed that not only Atea but also the rest of the firms shared a people among the shareholders. So while it looks like that the Danish IT-business have free competition but in reality a small group of people control everything.

So regardless if the trial shows that someone was bribed, the question remains. Do we taxpayers pay too much for public IT-projects when a small group of people control the entire business?
