2017 was a difficult year

In culture on December 30, 2017 at 17:06

The Rotten Banana. Areas in Denmark in decay.

At the end of the year various newservices reported that poor people being forced out of the Danish cities into the wasteland areas called “The rotten Banana” is on the rise. People who work ordinary jobs can no longer find cheap apartments or other housing unless their parents have signed them up for waiting lists for +20 years. Not surprisingly the danish work force is very stationary. If you have a small / cheap place to live, you cannot find anything better if you are have some kind of posh education.

Most people cannot choose another line of work if their parents do not have academically positions. The universities are in the cities and if the students cannot live at their parents place, they cannot attend them. Especially because many of the colleges are taken by foreign studens because the universities want an international profile.

Poor people see their cheap apartments they rent turned into apartments which are sold for millions of DKK. They cannot afford to continue to live in the cities if they become ill or lose their jobs for other reasons, so they move out of the cities to parts of Denmark where nothing is happening.

But that is also a downward spirale for the generations to come because after high school the options of education are simply not there. They have to fend through life with a high school diploma only. The children will never a shoot at fine things in life.

That is Denmark today year 2017 and that trend will continue in 2018. The authorities in Copenhagen will tear down old parts of the town – lately it has been historic buildings on the outer part of Vesterbro which will be torn down and replaced by some kind of Brazillia inspired high rising.

Ok. It looks old today because it is old. Built in 1860 but time has no room for ordinary people like those who live there now. They will have to move to parts of Denmark like Lolland.

For me personally the year was a victory. I volunteer for Domestic Prisoners of Conscience. We got a win in two trials. Hopefully teenagers in the United States will now have a greater chance drinking alcohol and partying like our children do after the judgment came in the trial against the owner of Midwest Academy in Iowa and Saving Youth Foundation in Alabama.

The Kundby girl terror case showed us that it is dangerous when young people do not drink, party and socialize. Suddenly a bomb is built. People could get hurt.

Professional gamers also consider the closure of Monarch School a victory. We have been working closely with groups of gamers to get this school closed.

My family are well and we live far from Aarhus where the trams had problems starting up. 2018 will bring me closer to retirement which is the final goal for me in life. A little bit over 10 years wait for me and that brings me comfort.

Maybe it is too big a wish to hope for an uneventful year but I hope that this will happen, so I am yet a year closer to retirement in 12 months.

Happy new Year !!!

Peace-agreement in Denmark

In justice on December 15, 2017 at 05:59

It seems that the supreme command of both the youth gangs Brothas and Loyal to Familia are ready to enter a peace-agreement.

This seems to be a possibility after private negociators have used the last months cease-fire in Copenhagen to bring the leaders together.

I cross my fingers. It is a light in a dark time. All the families in the areas affected by the gang war has missed seing their children playing in the street, sport clubs have been shut down, people have been confined their apartments. Short to say – life had come to a halt.

What is left is for the gangs to tag the areas they control in an orderly manner, so people know who the authorities on the streets are.

As for the Danish central government they are not a party in the peace-agreement. Their role has been limited to send police-cars through the area giving the illusion that they are in control. But the over-extended policeforce where most of the Danish police force are stationed along the borders because a number of countries in the European Union are neglecting their duties to take in the number of immigrants they were supposed to house just like we do, cannot be the local cop you go to if you have problems.

Instead the local population have to go the gangs who are offering protection for a small fee. It should not be like that but it is the best we can do because we on European level have been let down by countries like Poland and Hungary.

I really will pray that the peace-agreement will stick. Otherwise I have to point out that embassies are warning against the gang war trying to keep tourists safe:

A blog about a terrible place in Mexico

In culture on December 9, 2017 at 05:50

It took too long for the authorities in Mexico to close Casa by the Sea down. Many teenagers got their future derailed. Instead of partying and celebrate life before it became a life filled with commitments like we adults live every single day, they got locked up.

Short to say they also were put through a system which left most of them with a need to fight post-traumatic stress disorder for the rest of their lives. Many lost the college fund, family had set up for them, leaving them with a future working in unskilled jobs for low pay because the people running the schools did not care much about the teenagers. They just wanted the money.

The blog is called Haunted Places (link).

It is not the work of Domestic Prisoners of Conscience which I volunteer for but I wish it was.

Casa by the Sea is a product of the 1980’s and 1990’s, the world would have been better of with if it had never existed. The war against drugs were a failure. Instead of focusing on where it was produced which could have been dealt with by invading countries where the narcotics were produced and regulating the medical industry very tight so doctors do not over-medicate their patients just because they are sponsored to it by the firms who produce the medication, they attacked those who were caught in substance abuse.

Substance abuse is an illness. Illness you treat professional and with care for the patients. At Casa by the Sea there was no care, no love for the patients. They were punished even more severe than street muggers.

Lives were destroyed at Casa by the Sea. No question about that. But does that mean that the spirits of those who died after their stay have returned to the buildings?

I do not know. What do you think?

The British people do not owe one single cent to the European Union

In politics on December 7, 2017 at 20:19

It find the entire talks about United Kingdom leaving the European Union bizarre. This is a country which have suffered greatly just as Denmark because they said Yes by mistake in 1973. Now they want out.

The solution is simple. The people working for the European Union leaves the United Kingdom. They put up barb wire next to the borders to Ireland and then it is it.

They do not owe any money because they paid in 1973.

It is time that we Danes who just want to look at our Danish TV-channels which they are against also take a stand and ask for a vote so Denmark could leave the European Union.

We will not finanse all students in the European Union. They do not have the skills like Danish students. We want our early retirement back.

I support ordinary people in the United Kingdom who wants a hard exit. I will work for that Denmark can leave the European Union too.

First official mayor appointed

In politics on December 1, 2017 at 20:31

In the town Lyngby the appointed the first offical mayor after the election. I guess that they were that fast to ensure that they corruption will not make life hard. Years ago some of the members of the city counsil backstabbed the mayor who got the most of the votes. He believed that he would be allowed 4 more years. Big was his surprise when dirty deals had been done in secret.

In back politics in Denmark is as dirty as it can be when we talk about who is going to be mayor in Danish cities. People abandon the party which just had elected them just so they can get something personally. It is quiet common.

That why most people do not care. They are tired of this but it cannot be changed.

It has become a tradition to backstab people in local politics.
