The police opened an old case which opened the world to….

In culture on February 22, 2015 at 08:30

Sometime the police open old cases. Unfortunately a lot of murders are still unsolved. The hopes to solve them are always high but when Bossier Parish Sheriff department in Louisiana opened the case of “Bossier Doe” a woman who was found dead around 1980 using Facebook they suddenly got a reaction very quickly.

Further reading into this case opened a door into a nasty world including several female only religious boarding schools; Boarding schools which are close to not even being named boarding schools but rather asylums; Boarding schools where the teenagers were treated worse than inmates in prisons; Boarding schools where corporal punishment were used in an extend that should have resulted in arrest and imprisonment for the employees inflicting them at once.

And yes they do still exist. Of course not in such a large scale as in 1980 but there are states like Missouri where the authorities don’t care about what is going on inside as long as the boarding school writes the world RELIGIOUS SCHOOL on their front door. Once that word is written on the front door everything seems legal to take place inside. The now deceased Bin Laden could have hidden inside such a school in Missouri without anyone caring as long as his followers would have written the word RELIGIOUS SCHOOL. Then he would have been protected.

I once wrote a piece about such a place called Circle of Hope Ranch. It produced a lot of comments not every one positive about my writing but then you cannot agree with everyone.

But back to the “Bossier Doe” case. When the police posted the material they had on Facebook a family saw it and believed that it could have been a long lost family member.

Back around 1980 Carol Ann Cole was sent to a boarding school in Texas. Since sometime in the 1960’s Texas had homes for teenagers parents for some reason didn’t like anymore. Lester Roloff created some homes where the teenagers could live ruled with corporal punishment, isolation rooms where the bible were read 24/7 making most of the teenagers crazy. Then the question of course is: How did she end up in Louisiana?

Well, sometimes the school swapped students. The families didn’t care anyway. Otherwise they wouldn’t have given their children up to Christian extremists but would have sought real therapy in real psychiatric hospitals. So Carol Ann Cole could very well have been sent to the New Bethany Home in Louisiana. This home ruled by Mack Ford did like the homes in Texas used corporal punishment to an extreme level.

Mack Ford didn’t recently. There are employees out there which hope that the investigation into what took place would stop with his death. Let us hope that the investigation continues. There are allegations that Mack Ford was indecent with some of the girls. The real question mark is: Where others involved? What are their names? I have been able to find names like Olin King and Robert King in connection with a conviction of false imprisonment but I am not sure what their connection to the New Bethany Home for Girls were.

When I write this piece I don’t know if “Bossier Doe” is Carol Ann Cole. The DNA evidence need to be analyzed and I hope that the family will be given peace even given the fact that it means that they will know that they had suffered a terrible loss back in 1980.

Then there is the question about how she died. Will the family learn the entire truth? Was she killed because she was on the run and perhaps tried to escape people who were sent out to get her?

This case includes too many mysteries. I hope that the Sheriff Office will be able to solve it. No murder deserves to remain unsolved.

Did the war on terror come to Denmark today?

In politics on February 14, 2015 at 21:33

If the answer to this question was that it was today man lost his life and 3 policemen were injured the answer is yes.

But the fact is that the war on terror has been fought on Danish ground for a decade. Gone are the days where passengers could joke with the personnel in the airport about having a bomb in their luggage. Danes have been extradited to foreign countries for alleged crimes which had nothing to do with terrorism but as result of new legislation due to the fight against terrorism.

Readers of this blog can look up old entries about Camilla Broe who was extradited to the United States and spend a year in jail only to be cleared of all charges. An accountant was extradited to the United Kingdom for nothing but being a scapegoat. A man was extradited to German because he printed a book which was forbidden in Germany. Denmark is no longer a safe place for Danes who may have broken some kind of double-standard law abroad which is no crime in Denmark.

In a few months Danish drivers could risk fines issued by corrupt foreign police in other parts of the European Union which was legislation which resulted in loss of jobs in Denmark because no employer would expose his employees to that kind of danger.

We also had successes. Many remember the cartoon war which we won. A hard blow on the moral among the supporters of terrorism was inflicted and many places abroad it resulted in positive results.

But in general the war on terrorism have altered our daily lives just as many people during the Second World War had to spend night after night in shelters seeking refuge for the nightly bomb raids. In kindergartens and nurseries the children are not able to enjoy traditional food. As a kind of peace offer our children are forced to eat food made as a kind of cultural compromise in these times with hardship.

Maybe the time will come when the next generation will have to go to a museum to taste traditional Danish food just as many children in Copenhagen go to the ZOO to seek pigs, chicken and cows because they never had been outside the town.

It is a sad day for us Danes but in reality the war on terrorism has been fought on Danish grounds long before the first shot was fired in Copenhagen today.

7 people were fired this morning

In business culture on February 11, 2015 at 19:06

7 of my co-workers lost their job today. The reason was to spare them from the consequences of the changes in the European Union Cross-Border Enforcement Directive.

Until today Danish salespersons working abroad was protected against the corrupt police abroad because Denmark had opted out of this directive. If they just managed to get out of the country without being stopped they were safe. Now every corrupt policeman south of the border can look up car license plates and mail the ticket.

The Danish government has been sleeping and accepted a referendum which left a lot of jobs in danger because no employer would force employees into a danger zone similar to sending relief workers into areas controlled by ISIS.

So in order to save the dignity of my co-workers they were fired so they were free to seek job opportunities inside Denmark instead.

Instead local salespersons will be hired. Mostly likely they would settle for less salary because there have to be room for a boss and a secretary to the boss who translate speak German or some of the other languages to the boss. The boss would be located near an airport so transport by car can be avoided.

We all enjoyed beer and wine before they left for home. It is always sad when you have to say goodbye with someone who you have worked with for several years.

When the police becomes the parents

In culture on February 10, 2015 at 17:15

Some places the police are called very fast. The January 30 version of Dr. Phil showed one of these places. The daughter seemed out of control according to the parents. Then they called the police. The police came – now knowing the child by name because it seemed that it was a parent strategy and left once they calmed things down.

Of course it might seem easy when the uncle is the sheriff but it is a dangerous parenting strategy. There have been a number of cases where the police have killed a child inside the home. Both in Denmark and in the United States mental illness is a real killer if you combine it with police work.

The Danish police riddled a person lying down on the floor in a 7-11 shop in Copenhagen. The man suffered from mental illness. When the Danish police was requested by a family doctor to pick up another man they ended up shooting him instead.

Also in the United States family members have watched with horror when they called for help and got an execution party instead.

The police are not trained to work as nurses and doctors in a psych unit. They are trained to arrest and detain criminals.

If you invite them inside your home to work on your children as criminals then the next step should be to call the social services informing them that there are new kids to be put in the foster care system. Unfortunately not every police officer does that. In many cities they play nannies for parents not accepting their responsibility. One of these cases was seen on the Dr. Phil show. The parents had three daughters. One of them suffered from social anxiety which made her scream at the family when they tried to get her to school or attend anything outside her room. Dr. Phil didn’t make it better by sending hire goons to drag her to his show. In the end the girl was sent to Turn-about ranch known for having rocketed UK model Jemma Henley’s into speed. But Jemma Henley had the goal to become famous before she came to the ranch so how could it be other than a success? This girl will enter the ranch suffering from social anxiety. How will being forced to remain in a stone circle outside for days improve her conditions?

It is one of these cases there the social services in this girls hometown should have intervened. Once this girl returns home after the stay at the ranch basically untreated the problems will escalate. The police will not stopping going to this family trying to sort domestic matters out for them. The risk that this girl would end up being yet another number in the statistic where police shoot mentally ill patients is huge.
