One of the top-stories today is that a Danish magazine has been spying on the rich and famous using an employee handling data from NETS – the Danish firm who handles all credit card transactions in and out of Denmark.
In that way they have been able to learn a lot about the consumer habbits of the reality stars and they have been able to track members of our royal household on private trips abroad.
It is not really a scandal. We who works in large businesses have recognized this as a risk to expect when you outsource parts of your business. Of course you don’t place vital data like CRM-data or economy data in the cloud. It would take seconds for one of your competitors to learn all about you if they pay an employee at the datacenter a little sum.
And now where a lot of jobs have been sent to India the salery of IT-specialists in Denmark is so low that they have to get a second job. That was the result of the CSC conflict last year. IT-specialists can no longer afford a single job if they want to provide for their family. They have to have a second job. Many of our teenagers don’t seek jobs working with Information technology. Even our politicians want teenagers to skip high school and get a job working as a bricklayer, carpenter or a plumper.
I understand that it is not a life to live as a rich and famous if everyone know what you are doing but the solution is simple. Pay Cash!!!
