Many children seem to be sent out of the country they have been spending their childhood in due to their parents believing that they have adjusted too well to the youth culture.
In some countries the banishment can result in forced underage marriage. In any case their future and schooling can be damaged. Anyway it is not nice to be shipped away as some kind of damaged good while the family back home start over with new children.
For teenagers living in Denmark they can call +45 3392 1122 and get a special department in our foreign department and be rescued by the social services before they leave Denmark.
For more information please consult this webpage, which unfortunately is only in Danish language: Tvangsægteskab, efterladte ægtefæller og børn
Also in the United Kingdom they have such a department. It is called forced marriage and there is the link to the webpage: Forced Marriage Unit (UK Border Agency)
