Paris Jackson to be sent to a dangerous boarding school

In culture on July 8, 2013 at 05:34

As I mentioned in a previous post, Paris Jackson is about to be sent to a prison styled boarding school. Diamond Ranch Academy is a place where at least one boy has died while he was detained there.

I have searched for testimonies from youth who have been there in the past and it is not a pretty picture they draw of this place.

Wasn’t she supposed to get some kind of help for her problems? Is the answer to suicide attempts punishment? It certainly seems so.

She cannot maintain regular contact and visits home every 14 day as it is normal for treatment facilities here in Denmark.

Had I been her guardian’s shoes I would have chosen a normal boarding school in California and included regular visits to a therapist in the package. It would have served her better.

This could kill her just as the Posttraumatic stress caused the premature death of one of the Osmond kids. It is just sad.

Sources about her fate and the school:

  1. I seriously hope The Sun got the name of the school wrong. Sending a grieving and depressed girl to a place like that could mean she will be permanently damaged after completing the program there – rather than feeling better. I googled the place too… Lots of horror stories. This is a brainwashing boot camp for sure.

  2. Ever see that State Farm commercial where the girls has a date with the “french model” she found on the internet?? Seems like this is a classic case of “the internet is always right” I tried to find anything substantial about Diamond Ranch Academy and all I found was a few activists sites and kids who were still angry, making claims that, if indeed were true, would surely result in severe lawsuits. Lawsuits are public record and, therefore, easy to find online. There are absolutely no lawsuits that have been or are filed against DRA, so I am inclined to believe that the claims are all false. Not even the parents of the kid who died filed any claims against DRA. I have heard of these places that do engage in abuse, and they all get shut down. This place has been up and running for almost 15 years and has a clean record. Seems like a no brainer.

  3. I will reply to your comment in a new entry.
